In December 2016, in a tenement house at Szeroki Dunaj 1/3, we opened STOLICA – with the dream of bringing back the flavors of pre-war Warsaw. Exactly nine years later, on the weekend of December 5th-7th, we thank you for this extraordinary journey and invite you to our birthday menu: three iconic dishes that, from the very beginning of our adventure, have accompanied us for several seasons!
You are the reason why STOLICA has been ranked among the top 10% of restaurants worldwide according to Travelers' Choice 2024 and 2025 (over 2,400 reviews, average 4.8/5). Thanks to you, the words "best pierogi in Warsaw," "like grandma's, only better," and "time stands still here" appear in reviews almost daily. You, our guests, are our greatest success and our best showcase.
Behind each of our successes is also our Crew, who have been dedicating their hearts to you for nine years: Chefs who can memorize a recipe from 1937, waiters (Bartek, Robert, Kristina, and all the rest) who know your names and favorite tables, and musicians who transport us back to the 1930s every weekend. crispy vol-au-vent with Polish crayfish tails in a velvety dill sauce with peppery arugula
velvety velouté cream with caramelized pear and parsley, drizzled with herb olive oil
golden-brown salmon fillet on garlic-cream spinach with fried, homemade Russian dumplings
